About
Dr. Kathleen Barros is a counseling psychologist and neuropsychologist. She joined Shepherd Center in 2026 and provides brief intervention and assessment in Shepherd Center’s Complex Concussion Clinic, as well as outpatient neuropsychological evaluations.
Her clinical experience, research, and training have centered on concussion recovery, assessment, intervention, and consultation. She has a generalist background in neuropsychology with specialized training in pediatric and sports neuropsychology. She has experience providing therapeutic intervention with children, adolescents, adults, and families in hospital, community, and school settings.
Her clinical approach emphasizes supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental or acquired brain conditions by building on personal strengths and promoting meaningful daily functioning and quality of life. She was drawn to Shepherd Center’s strong culture of interdisciplinary collaboration and commitment to patient-centered and family-centered rehabilitation care.
